WB to credit Azeri public health sector
The World Bank intends to allocate a $5 million credit to Azerbaijan’s public health sector, which entails the establishment of health centers in 5 regions of the country. These will function as affiliates of the Central Clinical Hospital of Baku, minister for public health Ali Insanov told a news conference Friday. This will facilitate medical treatment on the countryside, he said.
According to the minister, there are 250 medical institutions in the country and prices have been reduced 2.5 times in the past year.*
