Economic journalism: what for?

A conference, “Economic journalism today”, organized by the press service of the Garadagh Cement Joint Stock Company, was held at Hyatt Regency Hotel of Baku Friday, as economists and journalists tried to ascertain what economic journalism can do to promote economic development.

Garadagh Cement press spokesman Isgandar Sardarli said the company’s initiatives would not be confined to this conference as work would be continued in other directions on the basis of opinions and conclusions made.

The conference was attended by press secretaries of government bodies, NGOs and other companies.*
