Political forces welcome Azerbaijan’s COE admission

A roundtable, “Council of Europe and Azerbaijan”, was held Wednesday at the “Azadlig” newspaper’s office on the initiative of PFPA reformers. Attending the meeting were representatives of pro-governmental and opposition parties, public organizations, and renowned intellectuals. All the speakers spoke of favor of Azerbaijan’s acceptance to the Council.

It is remembered that the Council of Europe Committee of Ministers is expected to consider the issue of acceptance of Azerbaijan and Armenia to the organization Wednesday.*
