Strengthening of opposition depends on PFPA problem

As long as the PFPA problem remains unresolved, strengthening of the opposition is out of the question, said chairman of the ALP executive committee Avaz Temirkhan Friday when asked to comment on problems within the opposition.
In particular, both of the conflicting wings of the PFPA insist that they be referred to as the Popular Front Party and dispose of its seal and stamp. Some parties have stated their recognition of the conservative wing (led by M. Fattayev), while others prefer to deal with Karimov-led reformers. This, in its turn, weakens the entire opposition camp, A. Temirkhan said.*
