"Armenian genocide" talking point in Iranian parliament

Iran’s two Armenian-origin parliamentarians have told Tehran’s “Intihab” newspaper that they would forward documents concerning the so-called "Armenian Genocide" of 1915 to the parliament.
Shortly afterwards, the Tabriz-based "Shamsi Tabriz" newspaper published an article, reminding of the atrocities by Armenians against Turks and Azeris both in the past and more lately. The author then asks the MPs: "Do you really want those representing 30 million Turks in the Iranian parliament to start investigating the crimes committed by your predecessors at the dawn of the last century in Salmas, Khoy, Urmiya and Mianduab and portray you as their successors? Or do you wish them to investigate the crimes perpetrated by your Armenian comrades-in-arms in Azerbaijan’s Kalbajar, Khojali, Shusha and Lachin cities?"
In conclusion, the author calls upon ethnic Armenian MPs to preserve peace.*
