 | Int’l conference on Caucasus Albania starts |
A three-day international science conference, “Ethnic and cultural heritage of the Caucasus Albania”, started at the Europe Hotel of Baku Monday.
The conference has been organized by the Caucasus Albania research center and is being attended by researchers from Norway, USA, Ukraine, Austria, Belgium, Turkey, and Russia.
The presentations concerned history, culture and architecture of the Caucasus Albania, an ancient state on the territory of Azerbaijan. All the speakers claimed that the Azerbaijan people is the historical and cultural heir of all states that dwelt here long ago.
On May 24, the conference participants will travel to the Kish church in Azerbaijan’s Shaki province, which was the first Christian church in the Caucasus.*
