PNIA visit to US over
Ways of resolving the Upper Garabagh conflict, human right problems, refugees and a number of other problems were discussed during a visit to the USA by the chairman of the National Independence Party Etibar Mammadov and his deputy Ilgar Mammadov paid on the invitation of the Republican Party on May 14-18.
In a news conference Monday, E. Mammadov said he had met with key officials of the US administration – national security adviser Condoleeza Rice, director of the national economic council Larry Lindsay, and senior adviser to the US President Carl Rowe.
The PNIA leader indicated that he had made it clear through all his meetings in the USA that as a result of Armenia’s armed aggression, a million Azeris have been facing human suffering and deprivation for over 10 years. He said he had announced that the people of Azerbaijan would not recognize any unfair peace.*
