Of 90 registered nominees 14 have withdrawn their candidacies, including 7 PNIA members, 5 of Yeni Azerbaijan and 2 non-partisan, the CEC deputy chairperson Svetlana Gasimova told AssA-Irada Saturday.
Another PNIA member has asked the CEC to cancel his candidacy, the party said Saturday. A total of 9 PNIA candidates have been registered. After the party's Central Council decided not to run, only one member defied the decision, which led to his expulsion from the party.*
