In January-April 2001, 7,365.9 million kilowatt/hour of electrical energy, or 7.6% over 2000, was generated in Azerbaijan, a source from the "AzerEnergy" JSC told AssA-Irada Tuesday.
Thermal power stations generated 7,003.5 million and hydro power plants 362.4 million kilowatt/hour of electrical energy.*
