 | Law on notary office to be amended |
MP Hikmat Osmanov told a parliament session Tuesday that he had been approached by quite a few people opposed to some provisions of the law "On notary office". Under one of the provisions of the law, every citizen can sell his own land to another person, while another article sets a common tariff of AZM300,000 charged by notary offices at the time of approval of the deal. The discontent is caused by the requirement to pay the same amount irrespective of the size of the plot being sold.
Speaker Alasgarov said the law would be amended and complaints taken into account.*
