200,000 employed in 10 years

The senior employment agency, which keeps track of the rate of unemployment, informs the jobless of the vacancies available, provides the status of the unemployed and appoints allowances, has provided 200,000 people with jobs in 10 years of its existence.

According to the chairman of the permanent parliamentary commission on social policy Hadi Rajabov, 762 specialists currently work in the agency’s 86 representative offices throughout the republic.

72,500 people have received the status of the unemployed.

To date, there are 46,500 unemployed registered with employment agencies. Around 19,000 people have been employed through job fairs being held since 1997.*
