 | May 8 - proposed Day of Refugees |
The Civil Unity Party has appealed to political parties, public organizations and the government of Azerbaijan to declare May 8, the day when Shusha fell, as the Day of Refugees.
Shusha is referred to as Garabagh’s second capital and represents an open-air museum of monuments of the historical past of the region.
The address further suggests that conferences and seminars be held on the days when four UN SC resolutions on Garabagh were adopted.
The party believes it is necessary to keep the world community informed of the systematic use of the occupied Azeri lands by such terrorist organizations as Hezbollah, PKK (Kurdistan Workers Party), ASALA for the transit of weaponry.*
