 | Islamic Party demand end to misinformation |
There have been misleading official publications of late whereby some government officials have described such destructive forces as Wahabi, Bahai and Krishna as having to do with Islam in an attempt to portray as enemies those safeguarding the moral values and national mentality, the Azerbaijan Islam Party said in a statement Thursday.
Authors of the statement argue that there are no grounds for misleading public opinion by defaming the Islamic Party, as its members are not expatriates but Azeri nationals ready to join the struggle against missionaries.
The party unequivocally states that any idea threatening national independence, territorial integrity and stability should be nipped in the bud.*
