A conference dedicated to the World Day of Free Press was held at the NGO Resource Center Wednesday, as heads of media outlets, journalists, NGOs and human right groups spoke of the current plight of the press, the successes and drawbacks of the Azerbaijan journalism.
Speakers also indicated that the Mayor’s Office has banned Thursday’s rally in memory of 8 Azeri journalists killed on duty.*
