4 Russo-Azeri documents signed in Moscow

Another meeting of the Russo-Azeri inter-governmental economic commission was held in Moscow April 24-25, as four more economic cooperation treaties were signed. These include the agreement on cooperation between statistical committees of the two countries, the agreement on economic and scientific cooperation in agriculture, the protocol on the transfer of two block modules manufactured by the Astrakhan ship-yard, and the agreement on inter-governmental cooperation.
According to a Cabinet source, the working group has been instructed to prepare a draft agreement on the joint use of the Samur canal.
The meeting was co-chaired by Russian and Azeri vice-premiers Viktor Khristenko and Abbas Abbasov.*
