MPs attending PA CE session

A delegation of the Milli Mejlis led by MP Ilham Aliyev is attending a Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PA CE) session in Strasbourg. The session is considering the issue or organized crime.

Ilham Aliyev briefed the session on Upper Garabagh problems, saying that this occupied part of Azerbaijan is being used as transit for drug trafficking, stationing of illegal weaponry and training of armed formations.

The Azeri delegation is expected to forward a list of Prisoners of War kept in Armenia and Upper Garabagh to the session.

I. Aliyev also held meetings with the honorary president of the PA CE Mrs. Lenny Fischer and head of the Russian parliamentary delegation Mr. Rogozin and was interviewed by Turkish NTV channel.*
