Tobacco production shrinks

Azerbaijan currently produces 17,000-18,000 tons of tobacco yearly. Last year, tobacco articles fetched $21 million to the state budget, vice-speaker Arif Rahimzadeh said Friday.
According to him, Azerbaijan used to manufacture 65,000 tons of tobacco a year. He said it is necessary to hike tobacco output and put an end to monopolization in the sector.*
