'AzerEnergy' to generate 20.6bn kw/h of electrical energy

The “AzerEnergy” Joint Stock Company is going to generate 20.6 billion kilowatt/hours of electrical energy this year, or 10.7% over 2000.
According to a source from the JSC, thermal power stations are expected to produce 18.7 billion kw/h, while hydro power plants – 1.9 billion.
There are 7 thermal and 6 hydro power stations in Azerbaijan.*
