Foreigners deposit vouchers in Depositary Center

The fate of privatization vouchers and options purchased by foreign investors has always been in the spotlight. According to the chairman of the State Committee on Securities (SCS) Heydar Babayev, foreign legal and physical entities that used to keep their vouchers with Minaret Group, are now re-depositing them to the National Depositary Center.
He added that 900,000 vouchers are registered at the Center to date with 200,000 more expected in the near future.
As far as options are concerned, there have been no applications for their storage in the Center yet, Mr. Babayev said and added that if non-residents can keep their vouchers at the Center, they could also keep their options there.*
