Azeri vets attend Paris seminar

Deputy head of the senior department for veterinarian science under the Ministry of Agriculture Emin Shahbazov and director of the senior veterinarian laboratory Abuzar Khalilov have attended an international seminar, “Diagnostics, prophylactics and measures of combating encephalitis”, held in Paris.
The objective of the seminar, which was largely attended by specialists from CIS, was to put necessary preventive measures in place to thwart potential outbreaks of the disease.
Participants of the seminar traveled to slaughterhouses and other enterprises of France. Encephalitis is caused by a virus appearing as a result of durable feeding of animals with bone flour. Cases of encephalitis have not been registered in Azerbaijan, E. Shahbazov said.*
