 | Opposition gathers at round-table |
Regional branches of Musavat, PFPA, ADP, PNIA, and Adalat parties met in Azerbaijan’s western province of Aghstafa Wednesday to conduct a round-table, "Garabagh problem and ways of its solution".
Participants adopted a resolution describing as acceptable the conflict resolution on the basis of UN SC resolutions. The meeting announced that it would be wrong to provide Upper Garabagh with a status of autonomy and that Armenians can live on the territory only as citizens of the Azerbaijan Republic.
The meeting called on political parties to relinquish their political interests and boost inter-party cooperation for the sake of the settlement of the conflict, a statement from the Musavat party said Thursday.*
