Weak solar activity was registered from 9 till 12 Sunday, followed by stronger disturbances from 17 till 21. In the first three hours of Monday, April 2, the solar activity was particularly strong, but subsided by 6 a.m., according to the senior scientist of the Hydro-meteorology Scientific Research Institute Fargana Dadasheva.
According to the scholar, this is connected with the commencement of the 23rd solar activity cycle. The process started in 1998 and will take 11 years to complete. Specialists think the cycle could inflict serious damage to the globe both at its beginning and end. Disturbances on the Sun also take a toll on human body and represent a threat for those suffering from high blood pressure, diabetes, hypertension, etc.
F. Dadasheva added that the sudden change in weather Azerbaijan is undergoing is explained by the same phenomena, as the country is located in the first zone of magnetic field impact.
At the same time, the scientist said all this is preconditioned by the laws of nature. She said rumors concerning global catastrophes are ungrounded and called the population for calm.*
