Azerbaijan, Turkey agree to end economic problems

Azeri and Turkish inter-governmental economic commission have agreed to resolve the existing economic problems. This was announced by the Turkish co-chair of the commission, state minister Abdulkhalig Mehmet Cay in a news conference Friday.
According to him, the parties have discussed ways of facilitating the export of Turkish goods to Azerbaijan, energy supply of Nakhchivan, entry and exit of NAR residents to and from Turkey, and favored status for Turkish businessmen in Azerbaijan.
Also on agenda was the issue of repayment by Azerbaijan of the debt to Turkish “EximBank”, as Baku has agreed to clear a part of the arrears.
The commission also raised the issue of facilitating work of Turkish entrepreneurs in Azerbaijan at a meeting with President Aliyev, who instructed relevant bodies to eliminate the existing problems.
On Friday, the delegation was received by Prime Minister Rasizadeh and Health Minister A. Insanov.*
