World’s Best Model dressed in XIX-century clothes

Sevda Aliyeva, winner of an international competition “Best Model of the World”, held in Istanbul, appeared on the podium wearing the 19th-century apparel, as was required by the contest. The national outfit was designed by a renowned fashion designer Fakhriyya Khalafova, according to the organizer of the “Best Model of Azerbaijan” competition Nahid Gabagchi.

He said it was the first time an Azeri model has won the first prize at a prestigious international competition, which has been held for 13 years and attended by contestants from over 50 countries.*
