Reports on bomb threat in Ganja dismissed

The Ganja police department received a report at 5 p.m. on Monday saying that a bomb was allegedly planted at the city’s Media-Club located on Ismat Gayibov Street. The law enforcement officers arrived at the scene immediately.

Residents of the building domiciling the Club were evacuated and the building is currently under police supervision. Fire and ambulance trucks have been pulled up to the site as well.

A search was carried out at the four rooms of the club for half an hour, and no bomb detected. Another search will be carried out on Tuesday for safety reasons.

The opening ceremony of the Club was scheduled for the same day.*
