Azerbaijan Diabetics League starts charity event

The Azerbaijan Diabetics League (ADL) operating in the country since 2000 has started a charity marathon.

There are 170 million diabetics-affected people all over the world. According to official statistics, 53,847 people with the diagnosis of diabetics were registered in the country in 2003. However, according to unofficial data, the figure is three times higher.

The objective of the League is to contribute to the integration of diabetics-affected young people into society, a source from the organization said.

The results of the charity marathon will be announced in an event to be organized at the Theater of Young Spectators on November 13.
