Over a third of credits by private banks

As of early March, three fourths of credit investments in the economy were short-term. 66.1% of total credits was issued by state-owned banks and 33.9% by private ones. The share of private banks in credit investments has shrunk of late.

The share of overdue credits in total credit volume has exceeded 21%, which means that one fifth of credits was not repaid on time.

Total credit investment made up was a little over AZM2.3 trillion as of early March.*
