Half of industrial goods produced by private sector

In January-February 2001, AZM2,808,000,000,000 worth of industrial products, or 6.6% over 2000, were manufactured. 48.8% of total industrial output was produced in the private sector.
273 joint stock companies active in the country produced over 14% of industrial goods totaling AZM395 billion.*
