Canadian International Development Agency prepared a program for Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan that envisions investment projects targeting reduced release of green-house gas into the atmosphere. According to the director of the national center for climatic changes under the State Hydrometeorology Committee Isa Aliyev, Canada has allocated CD4 million under the program designed to take 4 years to complete. The country is committed to reduce green-house gas releases into the atmosphere by 6% before 2012.
