 | Three-year development program to be ready in March |
The Azerbaijan government is expected to prepare the final draft of a three-year development program by late March. A source at the Cabinet of Ministers told AssA-Irada Thursday that the program would be forwarded to the IMF council of directors after being approved by the Fund’s special mission due in Baku on March 27.
As part of the program, the government will focus on maintaining macro-economic stability, developing agriculture and oil industry and improving the state administrative and regulation system.
The financial assistance of $100-150 million from the IMF and $300 million from the WB is needed for this purpose.*
